Wisconsin State Parks Return to Regular Hours. Rock Island State Park Remains Closed.

The Wisconsin D.N.R. has informed us that beginning May 23rd, all Wisconsin state parks will return to regular operating hours of 6:00 am to 11:00 pm seven days a week. They will no longer be closed on Wednesdays. One exception, however, is that Rock Island State Park will remain closed to all use, including camping, until July 1st. Ferry service to and from Rock Island is on hold until further notice due to high lake levels and pending safety guidelines with the park and passenger ferry operations during the public health emergency. Also, in all other state parks, a limited number of day-use restrooms will reopen for public use beginning Wednesday June 3rd. Visitors are reminded to plan ahead and bring hand sanitizer in case it is not available at the facilities. All group, family, and indoor-group campsites will remain closed through June 7th. Also, all events and shelter reservations will remain canceled through June 7th as well. Permit and reservation holders shall be contacted and offered a full refund. The status of any further events after June 7th is currently under review.
