The Gibraltar boys basketball team beat Hilbert, 95-62, in a non-conference game on Monday Night. The Vikings (2-0) led 24-20 before finishing the first half on a 30-8 burst. Eagles Drop Opener

The Southern Door boys opened their 2021-2022 season with a 69-54 loss to Sheboygan Falls Tuesday night. The Eagles led 27-26 at halftime but were plagued by some cold shooting. Pioneers Win Opener

The Sevastopol girls basketball team won a non-conference game on Thursday, 56-35, over Oneida Nation. The Thunderhawks scored the first nine points of the game, but the Pioneers ended the first half on a 26-6 run as four freshmen combined for the first 16 points.. Storm Open with Win

The Kewaunee girls basketball team opened the season with a 49-38 win at Luxemburg-Casco on Tuesday. The Storm had opened a 40-29 lead with less than 9:00 minutes to play but the Spartans closed to within 40-36 before an offensive putback from Taylor Schlies and a three pointer from Mykenzie Uhlers to regain control of the game. Dietzel Second Team MWC

Eli Dietzel, a sophomore midfielder at Ripon College, has been named to the All-Midwest Conference Men’s Soccer Second Team. Dietzel (Sturgeon Bay) finished the year with a team-best six goals and added four assists for 16 points, which ranked 7th in the MWC. Dietzel in Ripon’s first all-conference soccer player in eight years.
