Sustainability Grant Awarded to Southern Door School District

The Southern Door School District was recently awarded a sustainability grant by the Door County Community Foundation to support its “Shield” program, a district-wide effort that stands for “Students Helping, Involving, Educating, Leading and Deterring.” The program is a component of the Door County Initiative, “Project 180”, which promotes healthy lifestyle choices and develops student leaders with the goal of helping others “jump above the influence.” The Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse program encourages students to be strong, bold and confident in themselves, their school and their community. The grant funding comes from the community foundation’s education fund.
