The Sevastopol boys basketball team held its “Stronger Together” night prior to its game with Sturgeon Bay Tuesday. It turned out to be an emotional pregame in front of a packed gym as the Pioneers honored a pair of extremely courageous fighters in third grader Lucia Ramirez and five year old Blake Butch. Lucia is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia while Blake is battling brain cancer. Both were honored as captains and given gifts prior to the game and each family was presented a check for six thousand dollars. Most in attendance, including the Sturgeon Bay coaches and players, wore “Stronger Together” shirts.
