The Sturgeon Bay Common Council had a regular meeting Tuesday night where they unanimously approved a development agreement for the proposed “Sturgeon Bay Plaza” building to be built on what is known as “Land Parcel 100” on the West Waterfront near East Maple Street. Peter and Jennifer Gentry, owners of One Barrel Brewing, are hoping to bring new life to this awkward-shaped parcel. The proposed development includes a restaurant bar in a 2-story building overlooking the downtown waterfront area. The next step for this plan is to gain approval for a reduced setback in Wednesday’s city plan Commission meeting, which Mayor Ward says should not be a problem considering the shape of this “Parcel 100” and its location downtown.
