Sturgeon Bay High School Receives Robo Call Threat

On Wednesday morning Sturgeon Bay High School joined the growing list of schools that have received threatening phone calls via what is known as a “robo call.” At 9:45 Wednesday morning, a school secretary answered a call and heard one of these threatening recorded messages. The Sturgeon Bay Police Department was immediately notified, they made a safety check of the school, and each office in the district was also notified in case similar calls were received. Authorities and school officials determined that it was safe to continue the school day as scheduled. Neither the police department or school officials believed there was any threat to the district, these threats have been occurring more and more frequently nationwide, with a recent uptick since March 23rd. The Sturgeon Bay Police Department and Sturgeon Bay School District continue to keep safety in mind and continue their investigation into the incident.
