Sturgeon Bay Common Council Meeting Recap

There was a Sturgeon Bay City Council meeting Tuesday night. One item on the agenda was a street closure approval which was passed that will now allow the construction work to commence in the alleyway behind the new “Marketplace by Bliss” building downtown. Also there was an informative update for the “Under the Stars Night Market” from Destination Sturgeon Bay. Mayor David Ward explains how there have been no complaints concerning these Saturday evening events……

There was also a resolution supporting a grant application from the Wisconsin Harbor Assistance Program. Ward details how this can help with the West Waterfront Promenade project…..

Also, there was a resolution for the refinancing of some general obligation promissory notes. With current interest rates being so low, this move will benefit the city and taxpayers…..

The next Sturgeon Bay City Council meeting will be on Tuesday August 18th.
