A campaign to raise funds for a new state-of-the-art sound system for the Sturgeon Bay High School auditorium has met and exceeded its goal. The “Can You Hear Us Now” campaign raised $47,000 with the help of businesses, individuals and foundations and a student-led coffeehouse concert. A new digitized sound system will replace the decade old equipment that could no longer meet the needs of the district’s performing arts program. The 456-seat auditorium services the entire school system and is used by the broader community for a variety of events. The campaign results were announced at the recent all-school musical. The new sound system is expected to be installed within the next couple of months.
