Sevastopol Recognized as National Blue Ribbon School

A Door County school was one of only eight public and private schools in Wisconsin to be recognized in the 2015 National Blue Ribbon Schools Program. Sevastopol high school and middle school in Institute received the distinction, joining 334 other schools nationwide who were honored for overall academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps. In its 33-year history, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has recognized more than 8,000 American schools. Representatives from the winning schools will be honored at an awards ceremony in November in Washington, DC. Each school will receive an engraved plaque and program flag with the official seal, which signifies its blue ribbon status and the year of the award.
