Another Door County school district has received funding through the state’s school safety grant program. This time it’s the Sevastopol School District. The school in Institute will receive $53,338, part of nearly $2.6 million from the first round of the program. The funding is intended for projects that will make meaningful physical security improvements in schools such as training, securing the entry area, safety planning, installation of door monitors and cameras, enhancing emergency communications, and, remodeling entrances and visitor holding areas.
