Jacob Schulz, a member of the Sturgeon Bay Board of Education, has tendered his resignation, effective August 18th. Schulz, who is 35 and a native of Chetek, and his wife, Pam, will be heading to the Philipines to work at a children’s center. How a replacement for the nine-person school board is selected is up to the board itself. Typically, letters of interest are solicited, there is a process where the list of candidates is evaluated, and a top applicant is chosen to be presented to the board of education for its approval.
