Poll Workers Needed for Spring Election

While elections officials are encouraging as many people as possible to vote absentee in the upcoming Spring Election, poll workers will be needed for those that decide to vote in person.
County Clerk Jill Lau is calling on Door County residents who may be willing to serve as poll workers for the upcoming election on April 7th. These new poll workers would be to replace those who are unable to serve due to their age and/or health concerns during the current pandemic.
Of the 250 Door County poll workers and election inspectors, a significant number of them are in their 60s and 70s, while still others may also have susceptible health conditions. If you are a state, county, or municipal employee, a teacher, a student, or someone who is looking for temporary work, they need your help.
If interested, please contact the Door County Clerk’s office immediately by emailing vote@co.door.wi.us or you can call their office at 920-746-2200. The municipal clerks will provide the needed training for any new election inspectors before the election. Again that number is 920-746-2200.
