We have the results from Door County ballots in Tuesday’s spring elections. History was made as Door County elected it’s first female judge in the race for judge of Door County Circuit Court Branch 1. Vollenwider Re-Elected, Lautenbach New Algoma Mayor

Steve Lautenbach will be the new Mayor in the City of Algoma, defeating Casey Buhr, 516 to 443 in balloting during Tuesday’s spring election. Buhr did retain his seat on the Algoma Common Council, defeating challenger Bill Bush 172 to 143. In Kewaunee, incumbent Mayor Jeffrey Vollenwider defeated challenger & former Mayor Jason Jelinek 343 to 326.

LC & Algoma School Referendums Pass

The Luxemburg-Casco & Algoma School districts both had referendums on the ballot during Tuesday’s Spring election.In Algoma, the district was asking voters for $10.05 million for capital improvements at the elementary & middle & high school facilities. With a Roll of the Dice Bell Becomes Sister Bay Village President

It was an unprecedented outcome in Tuesday’s election results for the position of Sister Bay Village President. Incumbent Rob Zoschke and challenger Nate Bell both received exactly 256 votes. Fall Primary Door County Election Results

The results are in from Tuesday’s Fall Partisan Primary Election. Here in Door County there was a total of 7,100 ballots cast. Of those ballots 3,259 were entered as Democrats and 2,480 were entered as Republican. The one local office which was contested in both parties was that of Door County Treasurer.
