New Voting Machines in Door County

Door County voters heading to the polls to take part in the primary election on February 16th will find that the voting machines at polling places have changed. Door County Clerk Jill Lau says voting equipment, including scanning equipment in place since the late 1990’s, has been replaced. Lau says, in the past, each polling site had two units in place, but the updated equipment, known as the
ImageCast Evolution or “ICE,” cuts the number down to one machine per polling place. Lau says 22 units were acquired…

Lau says the voting process will be similar to recent elections…

One change that voters will need to prepare for in regard to upcoming elections is the requirement that they produce some form of identification before casting their ballot.
