The 2017 Miss Wisconsin Pageant begins Wednesday evening in Oshkosh. Miss Door County Susan Fochs will compete in the talent and evening wear preliminary competition Wednesday. Susan will perform an Irish dance to “The Cry of the Celts.” She was interviewed by a panel of five judges Tuesday. On Thursday, she will compete in the swimsuit component of the pageant and answer an onstage question. Recently graduated from UW Oshkosh, she is the daughter of Donald and Barbara Fochs of Egg Harbor. The new Miss Wisconsin will be crowned Saturday night at the Alberta Kimball Auditorium in Oshkosh. Twenty six women from across the state are competing this year, the 21st year that Door County has been represented at the Miss Wisconsin Pageant. Following a long tradition, Jay Zahn will call in reports this week from the event in Oshkosh.
