Hougaard to Fill Vacant Seat on Sturgeon Bay School Board

After conducting interviews with three candidates on Thursday, the Sturgeon Bay Board of Education selected Chad Hougaard to fill an open position on the nine-person committee. Hougaard is a Sergeant with the Sturgeon Bay Police Department. He replaces Doctor Joel Kitchens who resigned the position after 15 years as school board president. Hougaard is expected to be sworn in at the next meeting of the board of education on March 18th. He will hold the seat until April of 2016.
