Southern Door’s “Haunted Mansion” continues to rack up awards. The scary venue at Quietwoods South Camping Resort near Brussels was named “Top Haunted Attraction for the Northeast Region for 2016,” the 7th consecutive year it has attained that distinction. Winners were chosen by visitors voting online. The mansion directors, Sue Marchant and Cory Vandertie, their core leadership team and the hundreds of students, staff and community volunteers deserve kudos for their dedication and hard work. Over the years, more than $185,000 has been donated to support school activities at Southern Door because of the Haunted Mansion.
