Gibraltar Schools Receives Transportation Aid

The Gibraltar School System is one of 128 school districts in Wisconsin that will share in $7.5 million intended to aid districts with above average student transportation costs. Districts were eligible for the aid if their transportation costs exceeded 150% of the statewide average per member, which was $418.87 per student. In addition, student memberships within the district must have been 50 students or fewer per square mile. The Gibraltar School District received just over $125,658 as part of the program, one of only 24 districts awarded $100,000 or more.
