Five Finalists For Sevastopol Elementary Principal Position

Five individuals are on the list of candidates for Elementary Principal and Director of Special Education for the Sevastopol School District. WDOR News has learned that the list includes two educators with ties to Door County. They are Tammy Kielbasa, former Superintendent of the Washington Island School District and Marc Vandenhouten, an elementary teacher in the Southern Door School District. The others on the list are Kathleen Hoppe, Assistant Superintendent in Waterford, Laura Nelson, former Superintendent of the Amboy School District in Illinois, and Patricia Dwyer, a Special Education and Pupil Services Director for the Marion School District. Multiple interviews were held last week. The position has been open since April when then Principal Mary Donaldson resigned.
