It looks like the Fire and Ice celebration in Sturgeon Bay Saturday will have plenty of snow and a fair amount of ice to work with given the recent wintry mix that has fallen on the Door Peninsula. Speaking of ice, the ice carving contest runs from 9AM to 2PM citywide. Vote for the people’s choice award by 2PM before catching the awards ceremony at three at the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center. There’s also an opportunity to work with professional blacksmith James Viste at Martin Park from 10AM to 12PM and 1PM to 3PM, and free Door County Trolley rides from 10:30AM to 2:30PM. The sold-out Fire and Ice Gala at Stone Harbor Resort closes out the day’s activities. For more Fire and Ice details go to https://www.sturgeonbay.net/events/special-events/fire-and-ice-festival
