A challenge grant has been awarded to the Ephraim Men’s Club as the group works to raise funds for college scholarships for Gibraltar High School graduates. The club’s efforts will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000, and the grant will supplement ticket sales for its annual fundraiser, a pancake breakfast on August 3rd. The breakfast at the Old Ephraim Village Hall will be served from 7:30 to 11AM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children. Diners are also eligible for door prizes. Last year, a smaller challenge grant boosted the total of this year’s awards to $15,000. Over the past 50 years, the Ephraim Men’s Club has raised roughly $240,000 for scholarships. Proceeds come from ticket sales and contributions from businesses, Ephraim residents and men’s club members.
