The 7th annual Emergency Vehicle Fun Day will be held on Sunday, June 5th, at the Door County Cherryland Airport near Sturgeon Bay. The event was supposed to have been held on Saturday, May 14th, but was postponed due to concerns about approaching weather conditions. There is no admission for the fun day which runs from 11AM to 3PM. During the event, kids can sit in a police car, fire up the siren on a fire truck, check out a US Coast Guard Boat, or watch the Eagle Three helicopter land and take off. For older kids, its an opportunity to meet with the professionals who utilize the vehicles and a variety of other emergency gear. Sonny’s Pizzeria and Marchants Meats of Sturgeon Bay will be on hand selling food and drink. In deference to younger children, no sirens will be sounded from 11AM to 12:30PM.
