The 3rd Annual Door County Manufacturing Tour will be held Friday in Sturgeon Bay. The Door County Economic Development Corporation says the event also involves 200 students from the county’s four mainland school districts and features 11 manufacturers. Additional events, including a county-wide manufacturing job fair involving the general public falls under the manufacturing day heading. The idea is to draw attention to the many opportunities for entry and skilled level careers that are available in Door County. Free public tours are planned from 12:30 to 4PM. No registration is required. The firms participating in the public torus are Cadence, HATCO Corporation, HI Tec Fabrication, Key Industrial Plastics, Marine Travelift, Exactech, NEW Industries, Pro Products, the Sunshine House, Therma-Tron-X, & Wiretech Fabricators.
In addition, the Sunshine House will host a brat fry from 10:30AM to 1PM at 55 West Yew Street. All proceeds will support programming at the Sunshine House. And, while you’re there, check out the NWTC Electro-Mechanical Training Lab.
