Deputy Stationed at Gibraltar School due to Restraining Order

WDOR News has learned that the Gibraltar School District obtained a restraining order related to a 39-year old Sister Bay man Thursday afternoon. The order, reportedly signed by Judge D. Todd Ehlers, was sealed. A Door County deputy has been stationed at the school in Fish Creek this week as a precautionary measure after concerns arose about an individual in the community. Parents were alerted on Wednesday about the measures taken to protect students and staff, but were also told that there was no direct threat to the school district. The proactive measures were also discussed with staff and hourly checks of the building and campus are being done. In addition, residents have been encouraged to contact local law enforcement if they see any activity in the community that is concerning.
