Council Seats Could All be Contested in April Election

There’s a possibility that all four seats on the Sturgeon Bay City Council could be contested during the April 7th election. In the first aldermanic district, Kelli Catarozoli is challenging incumbent Dan Wiegand. Catarozoli led all vote-getters in a February primary election. In district three, where Ed Ireland is the incumbent, Martha Beller has taken out papers. Jerry Stults represents the fifth aldermanic district. There are indications that Stults will face opposition from a write-in candidate, but, as of yet, no one has come forward. Finally, in district seven, Will Gregory has declared himself a write-in candidate. Bob Schlicht currently holds the seat.
