The Southern Door Community Clinic, a cooperative effort of the school district and Ministry Door County Medical Center, will open its doors on February 15th. A grand opening is slated for late spring. The board of education Monday heard from the hospital’s Kevin Grohskopf and Jake Schultz about the cooperative effort. Beginning hours will be 9AM to 5PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday with hours on the third Friday of each month running from 10AM to 6PM. Hours may be adjusted in the future depending on need. The facility will be staffed by nurse practitioner Holly Herlache and a medical assistant. Signage and a banner will be erected along with an awning over the entrance. The clinic will only be accessed by an outside entrance located at the northeast corner of the high school. Eight parking slots will be reserved for clinic use only.
