The Door County Civility Project and Write on Door County are joining forces to put on a program entitled, “Civility Matters: Talking Together,” from 5-7PM on Wednesday, April 18th at Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay. The program, featuring Doctor Kay Collier McLaughlin, focuses on ways to change the conversation, rather than considering how awful our civil discourse is these days. Doctor McLaughlin not only offers tools, but hope as a roadmap to action based on good practices of civil dialogue. As a leadership consultant, she travels throughout the country and beyond, offering sessions that provide an opportunity for people of differing experiences, opinions and perspectives to have a true dialogue with one another. To sign up go to doorcountycivilityproject.org, or call the Door County Community Foundation at 746-1786. A $20 donation is greatly appreciated.
