WPS Ahead of Schedule on Power Restoration After Sunday Storm

Anticipating that storms could impact its customers in northeast Wisconsin, WPS mobilized its crews in order to respond to anticipated power outages. Lisa Prunty, the utilities’ manager of public relations, says crews are sent to areas of perceived need. Once there, Prunty says they evaluate how they will attack the problem…

Prunty says it appears that the power outages affecting public service customers will be cleared up sooner than had been anticipated…

Prunty says the reason why so many customers lost power is that the storm took down a major transmission line in northern Door County.

There were power outages affecting rate payers of Sturgeon Bay Utilties Sunday. Electric Supervisor Jason Bieri said all electrical disruptions in the Sturgeon Bay Utilities coverage area were cleared up 7PM Sunday evening. Jason sid all available crews were dispatched to ensure that power was restored as quickly as possible.
