The winter fleet in Sturgeon Bay has been quiet of late, but that could change next week as several vessels head out from their mooring areas near Bay Shipbuilding. As many as four ships could make way from Wednesday through Saturday. The tentative departure schedule includes the 1000-foot American Century and Walter J. McCarthy, Junior, the 730-foot Algolake, and, the 740-foot Laurentian. This weekend, the 806-foot Honorable James I. Oberstar is on the tentative departure schedule. All of the vessels in Sturgeon Bay’s winter fleet could be gone by the end of April.
