Help of Door County has announced that Steve Vickman has accepted the position of Executive Director. Vickman will oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations while working cooperatively with area non-profits and governmental units, as well as setting the strategic vision for “Help” in cooperation with its board of directors. He brings a variety of employment and community volunteer experiences to the position. Vickman most recently was Executive Director of the Mediation Center of Greater Green Bay and previously had served as Fund Development and Marketing Director for the Door County YMCA. In addition, he is Founding Executive Director of the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry. A graduate of Saint Norbert College in De Pere, Vickman is also a graduate of the Social Innovation Leadership Program at Marquette University and the JJ Keller Foundation. Help of Door County is based in Sturgeon Bay. Its goal is to eliminate domestic abuse through intervention services while advocating for social change.
