United Way Offering Grant Funding for Childcare Providers

The United Way of Door County is currently still in the process of recruiting child care staff and providers to alleviate the area’s high demand for childcare services. Some new local childcare facilities are opening up soon while a few others have recently closed. Community Child Care Coordinator Molly Gary says staff for these facilities and home providers is still in high demand, and there is grant funding to help with training…

As Gary says, going into the field of local child care can help bring in some extra money for some, but it can also be a valuable and worthwhile contribution to the community…

There is still plenty of grant funding available to help build up more of a local child care workforce, whether you would work for a local child care center or if you would provide child care in your home, regardless of your age…

If you are interested in this grant funding to help support your training for certification for local child care work, you can call Molly Gary from the United Way at 920-421-3149.
