The United Way of Door County has released the final number for the most successful fundraising campaign in the history of the local organization. According to Executive Director Amy Kohnle, the final tally after the midnight deadline Sunday came in at $562,860.81 or 98% of the $575,000 goal. As such, it shattered the former record of $482,077 set in 2014 by more than $80,000. Last year, the campaign raised just under $478,000. The dollars raised will fund 28 programs provided by 18 agencies.
