The Door County Board will be back to its full complement of 21 supervisors if two recommended replacements are approved Tuesday. County Board Chairman Dan Austad is recommending that Steve Sohns be appointed as District 18 Supervisor. District 18 encompasses the Town of Gibraltar and the Village of Ephraim. The seat has been vacant since the resignation of Supervisor Holly Runquist. Austad is also recommending that Helen Bacon be appointed as District Seven Supervisor. Ben Meyer had represented wards 1, 2 and 29 in Sturgeon Bay until his recent resignation. County Board approval means both candidates will serve out the remainder of the current term through April 18th, 2016.
