Two men, a father and son, were rescued from the waters of Lake Michigan Thursday evening. Door County Sheriff’s officers, along with Sturgeon Bay Fire Department and the US Coast Guard were all on scene off Glidden Drive for an overturned sail boat. The Sturgeon Bay fire boat made contact with the 16 foot vessel and pulled it to shore. They also took Ryan Cantzler and Kenneth Cantzler aboard their boat. Once on shore, officers made contact with the two men and determined that they were sailing the vessel and did not have much experience and the sail caught the wind and tipped the vessel. They were not injured. The boat was secured on shore with the assistance of the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department and Door County Sheriff’s Department.
