The traffic signals at Walmart’s Egg Harbor Road entrance in Sturgeon Bay are fully operational. The wiring was reconnected and the control box reprogrammed by the contractor hired by the local retailer Tuesday. City Engineer Chad Shefchik says the traffic signals, as programmed, will keep green lights on Egg Harbor Road traffic unless a vehicle activates sensors when leaving Walmart. Shefchik asks drivers to use caution now that the traffic lights have been restored to full use. He says they have not been in operation for almost a year and it may take a little time for motorists to adjust to the new traffic patterns that will require stopping on Egg Harbor Road.
