The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is crediting a tip from a resident for an investigation that led to arrests and citations for drug activity. Officers were dispatched to a field off Egg Harbor Road after receiving the report of a suspicious vehicle with kids possibly doing drugs. When they arrived on the scene, police found four individuals in the vehicle who appeared to have been smoking marijuana. In fact the driver, a 20-year old Milwaukee man, still had a marijuana “blunt” on his lap. A search of the car also revealed two bags of marijuana weighing about 40 grams, a scale, a calculator and small packaging bags. The Milwaukee man was arrested and taken to the Door County jail on a felony charge related to the sale of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The front seat passenger, an 18-year old man with addresses in Milwaukee and Sturgeon Bay, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation. In the back seat, a 17-year old Sturgeon Bay male admitted consuming alcohol. He was cited for underage drinking before being released to an adult. The other rear seat passenger, a 14-year old male from Sturgeon Bay, was taken back to Sturgeon Bay High School and released to school officials.
