Sunshine House Names New President & CEO

The Sunshine House, in Sturgeon bay, announced Tuesday that Cindy Weber has agreed to become the Sturgeon Bay organization’s next President and chief Executive Officer. The action comes with the decision by Jim Meyer to retire as President and CEO this month. Weber is a Door County native who owned and managed the family business in Sturgeon Bay before joining the Door County YMCA and spending nine years involved in marketing and fundraising, strategic and staff development and community outreach. She has also held leadership positions with such organizations as the Door County Economic Development Corporation, the Door County Visitor Bureau and the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center. Weber is expected to be actively involved in the roll out of “family care” programming later this summer. The Sunshine House was established in Sturgeon Bay in 1971 and provides quality services for Door County citizens with special needs and disabilities.
