In anticipation of the Bayview Bridge project kicking off on Tuesday, the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center has taken measures to help people who will be taking the detour through the city. The visitor center has printed more than 100,000 visitor guides, each of which have a map of the city included. In addition, pads of city maps will be available for businesses to provide for those who are unfamiliar with the city. This is not the first time traffic was routed through the city because of a project on the Bayview Bridge. Many of the travelers commented that the detour provided them with a perspective of Sturgeon Bay that wouldn’t have been possible had they taken the by-pass route.
