Sturgeon Bay City Administrator Announces Retirement

Sturgeon Bay City Administrator Steve McNeil has announced that he will retire from the position as of August 1st. McNeil has held the position since 2008. His tenure has seen a focus on economic development, the expansion of the industrial park, and securing a commitment from a developer for the west side waterfront redevelopment. McNeil was also instrumental in Sturgeon Bay being designated as one of only 16 United States Coast Guard Cities. The city has undergone multiple reorganizations of the administrative offices under the leadership of McNeil.

The city will now begin the recruitment process to fill the vacancy left by McNeil’s retirement.
