The break-in to a local business this week is under investigation by the Sturgeon Bay Police Department. City police say the Sturgeon Bay Cinema at 1820 Alabama Street was burglarized Wednesday morning. The intruder entered the office, gained access to the business safe and stole about $2,000. In addition, an undetermined amount of coins were pilfered from video game machines.
Sturgeon Bay Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect or suspects involved. Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity around the cinema on the night of July 5th or the morning of July 6th is asked to contact the Sturgeon Bay Police Department. Investigators would also like to hear from citizens who may have heard of someone who came into a large amount of cash and coins recently. Anonymous tips may be submitted through the police department’s facebook page or call 746-2450.
