Stuewer Retires After More Than 40 Years at SBFD

Members of the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department welcomed two of their colleagues to new positions, said goodbye to a long-time member of the department, and, acknowledged the work of its part-timers during a special swearing-in ceremony at city hall earlier this week. Fire Chief Tim Dietman says every organization knows that, sooner or later, there will be a changing of the guard as veterans retire and new replacements come on line…


Lieutenant Dick Stuewer recently retired after more than four decades with the department. Chief Dietman says that kind of experience has been a real asset to department members…


Four new part-time firefighters were also sworn in during the ceremony, Jeremy Pasczzak, Logan Vandertie, Dan Rankin and Matt Rollin.
