State Senator Lasee to Hold Hearing on Roundabouts

State Senator Frank Lasee has rescheduled two meetings he had planned for Monday in Door County. The senator’s representative indicated that the change has been made because of the federal holiday honoring Martin Luther King. The meetings have been moved to Monday, January 25th. From 2:30 to 4:30PM, Lasee will be at the old town hall in Fish Creek to lead a discussion on the Eagle Tower at Peninsula State Park. The 75-foot observation deck has been closed since an inspection in May of last year revealed structural problems. Representatives of the Department of Natural Resources will be on hand to explain how they intend to deal with the structure. Then, from 5:30 to 7:30PM Monday, Senator Lasee will conduct a listening session on the Department of Transportation’s proposed road project on a segment of Highway 42/57 in Sturgeon Bay. The project includes an upgrade to the roadway from Michigan Street to Egg Harbor Road, roundabouts at the intersections of Michigan Street and Egg Harbor Road and Highway 42/57, and repairs to the Bayview Bridge. Representatives of the DOT will join the senator for the meeting at the Government Center in Sturgeon Bay.
Once again, two Door County meetings scheduled by State Senator Frank Lasee for Monday, January 18th will be held one week later, January 25th, same time, same places, due to a federal holiday.
