The League of Women Voters of Door County has announced that the Wisconsin chapter’s annual meeting will be held in Door County in June. The two-day session will take place at the Landmark Resort near Egg Harbor. State Representative Joel Kitchens will provide the welcome for state members of the organization on Friday, June 3rd. The speaker that evening will be Robert Atwell, CEO and Chairman of Nicolet National Bank which recently merged with Baylake Bank. Atwell will address “the economic case for improving water quality.” On Saturday, June 4th, Colleen Gruszynski, a member of the Green Bay league chapter, will speak on “engaging the emerging electorate.” Gruszynski is an expert on voter registration data and how to use this information to improve voter outreach. The public is invited to join the League of Women Voters for these presentations, but registration is required.
