Spill Closes Sturgeon Bay Intesection for Several Hours

Because of the slippery nature of the material on the roadway, there was concern about possible accidents, especially on the off-ramp into Sturgeon Bay, but none were recorded. Besides the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department, Sturgeon Bay Police, the city street department, a county highway department crew and an ambulance participated in the cleanup. The eastbound lane of traffic on the highway was closed for a time. Traffic was flowing on the stretch of roadway near the highway and County S shortly before 3:30PM Thursday.
