Last wednesday, the Southern Door Fire Chief Gary Vandertie stepped down from his position. Since then, and for the time being, the Interim Fire Chief is Randy Massart. Massart was the Southern Door Fire Chief from 1983 to 1993, and has been the Assistant Fire Chief since then, until this last Wednesday. Again, he is now the Southern Door Interim Fire Chief until the new Chief is chosen.
