Sheriff’s Department Investigating Thefts From Storage Units

The Door County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the report of thefts to storage areas in the northern part of the county. Last week, an Egg Harbor woman said items were missing from storage at her condo unit. The missing items include a woman’s bicycle, leather horse riding boots, and, a storage container with other riding gear. The woman estimated her loss at $1,000 dollars. The investigating officer could find no signs of forced entry.
The same couldn’t be said for a storage unit in Jacksonport. A county man reported finding the lock had been cut and about $1,200 dollars worth of duck decoys, carrying cases, an ice shanty, and, a portable hunting blind were stolen.
