Sheriff’s Department Investigating Recent Thefts

The Door County Sheriff’s Department is investigating reports of the theft of several big ticket items in recent weeks. A 2008 Fleetwood Sedona popup camper was stolen from a lot in the Town of Nasewaupee. The camper is 13 feet long with an 8 foot box and a trailer hitch, is off-white with blue stripes. The owner estimated the loss at $3,000.
Fishing gear worth just under $3,000 was reported stolen from a boat stored outdoors at a Forestville area location. A Sturgeon Bay man said the missing items included rods, reels, a tackle box, spools of line, lures and a fish locator.
Tools were taken from an unlocked work truck at another location in the Town of Nasewaupee. The missing items include a Milwaukee impact wrench and a reciprocating saw, along with a hammer drill. The total loss was listed at just under $1,270.
