State Senator Frank Lasee will be in Door County Monday to conduct two meetings. From 2:30 to 4:30PM, Lasee will be at the old town hall in Fish Creek to lead a discussion on the Eagle Tower at Peninsula State Park. The 75-foot observation deck has been closed since May of last year after an inspection revealed structural problems. The Department of Natural Resources is expected to have representatives on hand to explain how the state agency intends to deal with the structure.
Then, from 5:30 to 7:30PM Senator Lasee will conduct a listening session on the Department of Transportation’s proposed road project on a segment of Highway 42/57 in Sturgeon Bay. The project includes an upgrade to the roadway from Michigan Street to Egg Harbor Road, roundabouts at the intersections of Michigan Street and Egg Harbor Road and Highway 42/57, and repairs to the Bayview Bridge. DOT representatives will join the senator for Monday’s meeting at the Government Center in Sturgeon Bay.
