Search for New DCEDC Executive Director Generates 200 Resumes

The Door County Economic Development Corporation has provided an update on the search for a new executive director for the public/private agency based in Sturgeon Bay. Bill Chaudoir is retiring from the position he has held for some 25 years. The economic development corporation has engaged Diane Biersteker of Human Resources Consulting, LLC to coordinate the job search and the effort to find a new executive director has extended throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states, generating 200 resumes from individuals interested in the position. Fifteen of the applicants were asked to provide additional information in advance of a brief telephone interview. Results of the initial telephone interview will be presented to the organization’s personnel committee, setting the stage for upcoming “face-to-face” interviews. The plan is to have a new executive director for the Door County Economic Development Corporation on the job by the end of the year.
