Sturgeon Bay firefighters raised just under $3,731 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the first of three “Fill the Boot” events on Saturday. With a goal of $10,000 for the 2015 campaign, members of union local 2682 are hoping to do as well or better the next time around on Saturday, July 11th. On that date, you’ll find them at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Louisiana Street from 8AM to 4PM. Firefighter Matt Austad, Union Local President, thanks all those who donated and expresses appreciation for the firefighters who were downtown Saturday. Anyone who’d like to make a donation is welcome to send it to “Fill the Boot” in care of the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department.
